Getting started
Telescope provides energy-market forecasts through a REST API. Customers retrieve published forecasts; providers submit their own predictions for use by Telescope.

Choose your workflow
External forecaster access is currently limited. Join the waitlist if your provider account is not enabled.
Before you begin
You need a Telescope account with Get Forecasts or Submit Forecasts access. Create an API key in the corresponding workspace using Authentication. Providers also need an active provider account; contact support for onboarding.
Examples use cURL, Python or TypeScript. Keep authenticated requests on your server and store your key in a secret manager or local environment variable.
After your first request
| Your goal | Continue with |
|---|---|
| Receive notifications when forecasts change | Webhooks |
| Retrieve forecasts available at a past decision time | Historical data & backtesting |
| Repeat a calculation with exactly the same forecast | Versions & reproducibility |
| Automate forecast submissions | Submission scheduling |
| Resolve a rejected submission or retry after a timeout | Validation & retries |
The Customer API and Producer API provide endpoint details. The Public API provides limited previews and accuracy information without a key.
